 The
Formeco Di Series of machine was designed to equal the average U.S.
made distillation machine. The computer control board has been
removed and replaced with a simple rotary timer and and a thermostat.
The Di 120 distillation unit has a 12 hour timer and 3300 watts
connected heating load, resulting in less hourly output than the standard
D Series machines. The Di 120is only available in three phase
versions.
The advantage of the Di series is that if you do not require a high
hourly output of distilled solvent, you can use a single cycle in a large
capacity distillation machine and turn it on only once per day to distill
the solvent. A standard D series unit would complete it's cycle in
1/3 the time and be able to operate multiple batches during the day - but
if you do not require a high output of distilled solvent, a Di series may
be right for you.
